Who made the first move?

I guess it depends. Casey messaged me first, but I was the one to make the first move when we met in person! 

What first attracted you to each other?

Ashley - I was really interested in "cowboys" and Casey had that style. In a lot of his pictures he wore camo and cowboy boots and I loved that! I also loved his eyes.

What is your favorite memory with each other?

Ashley - This question was so hard for me because we have been together for almost 10 years. I love traveling with Casey it is my absolute favorite thing. We have so many laughs and magical experiences that we have been blessed to have together. If I had to choose one memory though it would probably be when we were in the Bahamas. We went on an excursion to go snuba diving. The Bahamas is known for shipwrecks and underwater statues. We went to the statue site and went snuba diving 40 feet underwater. It was so magical to walk on the ocean floor with the most beautiful fish around us and to see the sea life and be right with them was just incredible. I am so happy I got to experience that with Casey. We are always up for a new adventure and I know in our marriage I will never be bored.

Casey - I cant think of a specific memory, because there are so many. But any time we've traveled together there has not been a dull moment. It is so special to see Ashley see the world ,and it is so special that I get to be right next to her as we see it.  

What is your favorite way of spending time together?

Ashley - I love doing everything with him but I love going on walks with him especially if we are by a body of water. I just love being outside and getting to see nature with him is always special 

Casey - Going on any kind of new adventure. Whether its a new restaurant, new place to fish, or a new movie. I just love to spend time with her. 

How did you get engaged?

We had a trip to the Bahamas planned for awhile, I was hoping that Casey was going to propose while we were there... I mean it had been 8 years already, it was TIME! We went through our week exploring the Bahamas. Our trip was coming to an end and I was losing hope that it was going to happen. On the last day Casey scheduled a photoshoot on the beach. We walked down to the beach and of course being nosy like I am, I was looking at his pockets to see if there was an outline of a ring box. I did not see an outline, so I just accepted that it was not happening during this trip. We were down on the beach in front of the most beautiful sunset, and we were taking a picture where I was in front of Casey and he was behind me. as he was behind me he got down on one knee and turned me around. He said a sweet little speech that I will keep between him and me:) He asked me if I would become his wife. We both cried and got the most amazing photos. It was the most amazing moment in my life. I am so happy I have the pictures to relive that day! 

Why did you decide on a destination wedding?

We started looking into prices of weddings in Colorado and we could not believe how much it was going to be. We started looking into a destination wedding and realized we could spend 1/2 the amount of money on a week long trip and a week long honeymoon, than just a single day celebration. After the last year we had we decided spending a couple days or a week in paradise with our loved ones not only made more sense, but the memories we will bring home from it will be amazing. We have learned over the last year that time is so limited and to make the most out of it while we can. We know it is a financial commitment, but we want our guests to not just think of it as a wedding they are spending money to go to, but a chance to spend a week in paradise with your loved ones as well. I know life gets busy but I want our families and friends to take a step back and just enjoy their time celebrating with us. We would be so grateful if you all joined us.
